Vic Darchinyan will be making his fifth consecutive appearance on Showtime as he looks to defend his WBC/WBA super flyweight titles tomorrow night against Rodrigo Guerrero at the Agua Caliente Casino.

“Guerrero is a good kid and he’s fought a couple good fighters and done very well. There’s no way I’m going to underestimate him. I think he has a future in boxing, but it won’t begin until after I beat him on Saturday,” Darchinyan said.

The fight has been moved to the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan – just an hour’s drive away from Andre Dirrell’s Flint, Michigan hometown. “Dirrell and Gary Shaw are trying to pull a fast one, but this is not going to affect me in my preparation of demolishing Dirrell,” said Arthur Abraham. “They’re just delaying the inevitable.”

Tickets go on sale this Saturday and range from $28, $53, $78, $103 and $128.

As Armenians and Los Angeles Kings fans prepare for “Armenian Heritage Night” at Staples Center versus the Sabres, rumors that Kassian is Armenian have spread like wildfire in the community as attending fans are under the impression that heritage night is in honor of the Sabres prospect as it was for Zach Bogosian of the Atlanta Thrashers the year before.
